Following 11 days of the northern roadblocks deployed by Kosova's ethnic Serb minority in Kosovo's northern troubled region of Mitrovica, Kosovo border police and customs say that they have seen an increase in the number of lorries transporting goods, but also the number of people travelling on private vehicles has increased significantly. A lorry driver from Albania said that "if you come at the Merdare crossing after 16:00/h you might end up waiting up to six hours to cross the border" he added.
